SAS-1 Connection Options

SAS-1's flexibility in configuration and employment make it ideal for the replacement of failed loops as well as new installations.  Whether you require a hardwired, relay interface or want to save substantially by eliminating home run wires spread spectrum connection, the SAS-1 can be configured to meet your needs. The standard unit comes ready to support home run configurations over 2000 feet by using RS-422 from the sensor head to the SAS Cabinet Termination (SAS-CT).  The SAS-CT provides surge protection and converts the signal to RS-232 for direct input to a controller. The wireless "homerun" option is illustrated below.  We have  several data storage and retrieval schemes to meet both the real-time traffic management as well as the road usage sensing needs.  Give us a call.  The system's low power requirements and flexibility make it an ideal candidate for most traffic sensing applications.
